fuel filter?
I have a after maket carb ( Holly ) on my Jeep cherokee. The inline fuel filter looks kinda big.( I just replaced it with the same size that was on it before ) when i Turn left it seems like the motor starves for fuel just a little then catches back up with it self when i get going again. Im wondering if the filter is to big. does it matter how big the filter is?…I was wondering if the entire filter canester should be full of gas. When its running only half the filter is full of gas. SO MY QUESTION IS: should i put a smaller filter on it?. does it matter? it’s a regular inline plastic see through filter. ( I bought this Jeep from an older guy who put the carb and filter on it. Im wondering if he knew what he was doing.
The filter size doesn’t really matter as long as it’s not getting in the way of anything. What it sounds like is that your gas line is being pinched when you turn. Follow it back from the filter and see if it is resting against anything.
